Lots of things have been happening this week. Apart from ice cold weather, and hail and snow storms, things are on their final legs.

First of all the painters have arrived. The inside, apart from the bathroom, and a small part of the tiles (where the bathroom water will go through), everything is done, so painting time.

They started with putting an under layer on top of all the walls.

In the mean time, our neighbor Joel Le Bourg, dug up part of the "garden" in front of the shed cottage where he and Trish will be planting flowers.

Today, early, no rain, but ice cold, the lads arrived and marked of the area where the gate will be installed.

Then the digger arrived.

It's a small and narrow machine used to dig small trenches.

So they set out digging two holes for the gate engines.....

... and a trench in between for the wires and control units. No car in the garden (I parked it next door - without permission - sorry Barbara) since they need to put in concrete tomorrow. Saturday it'll be fine, since they'll install a small bridge to drive over.

In the mean time, painting is advancing.
