This morning I decided to have a quick check in the shed to see how things were progressing:

What a surprise. They had broken down the dividing wall already.

and the main beam was removed....

Here a view from the other side of the shed.

After lunch, a truck arrived:

The truck had a huge wooden beam, plus smaller ones.

The main beam weights 700 kilos !

They had to use their crane to remove it from the truck.

It is now lying on the grass, waiting for the roof to be removed, so it can be hoisted through the hole.

High tech in the country... they had to ensure that the floor is going to be level, so they use this laser projector to project a continuous beam on the walls.

Then with a marker, they draw a straight and level line on the wall. From the line, they can measure how high the floor needs to be. Very smart system.

Tomorrow, parts of the new roof arrive.
