Electricity Deprived and Snowed In

Today started out being fun, the village still covered in snow, we were snowed in and curled up comfortably with a book and getting the Sauna ready for a good evening's relaxation. But whilst watching the news on TV, we had several spikes in the electricity and finally at 12 midday, the whole village blacked out. At first it was fun, light the candles and cuddle up even more. But, then as it went on and on, the house became quite cold as the temperatures outside continued to stay below zero.

At 5 pm, still no sign of the magical juice so into the kitchen armed with my winter jacket and scarf, my apron but of course, both candelabras installed on the counter top, whilst I whipped up a salad, hey, no juice to cook, okay.

Meanwhile, Mike was busy gathering up firewood and lighting a great fire in the library, the only area of the house which was warm.

With more candles than you can shake a stick at, (you think the lights are on in these pictures, but they are definitely not), we decided to seek out our old Scrabble box, blow off the dust and dive into a quiet game in front of the fire. Mikeee won, of course. Yes, back to good old fashioned fun and games... am not telling you what else we got up to on that white rug....Image:Electricity Deprived and Snowed In
