This was a really nice weekend in Normandy. Temperatures reached 24°C, full sun and a small breeze. Here's a photo-reportage on a "typical" weekend in Normandy...: It all starts Friday, when I pick Trish up at the Yvetot railway station:
Of course the station manager asked me to stop making photos since I did not have authorization. Which I didn't, telling him to call the cops, or leave me alone. So he left me alone.....
When we came home, Beemer and Benji were sleeping in quite an usual way. Beemer likes her comfort, and Benji is just small enough to give Beemer that extra nice sleeping position....
On Saturday Trish and I went to the Fecamp market on our motorcycle to buy food, since we were going to have friends over on Sunday for lunch. Lots of French produce, and since we'd be cooking a Moroccan dish, we needed to fill up with spices.
On Sunday our friends L-R Jean-Charles, Sylvie, Stephanie, Christine, Trish and Christophe arrived and we had some drinks in the living room.
In the mean time, Trish and I applied our cooking lessons from our trip to Marrakech, Morocco to good use. We made, for the first time, a Chicken Tangine with Confit Lemons. Lots of saffron, olives, onions and marinated chicken...
The Tangine was jummie....
After a 3 hour lunch, we went for a long walk along the Normandy country side.
We ended up in Les-Petites-Dalles, where they have beautiful houses. And that ended the weekend. The kilos gained at lunch were walked off, so no worries there....
