Day 9 was the bringing of the pebbles, but we weren't there, so no photos. Day 10 was putting the pebbles alongside the pool. The contractor envisaged having to do it by hand, filling buckets....
However, he brought in a JCB to do the heavy lifting for the sides that could be reached:
In a continuous waltz, the digger brought in stones...
... and dropped them alongside the pool....
... and then levelled out by hand.
All the tubes and hoses are buried.
Even a, dead, part of the tree had to be sacrificed in order from the JCB to access the furthest side of the pool.
Then they used a mechanical wheelbarrow...filled by hand...
